Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been testing and monitoring a new video embed plugin.

This plugin allows easy integration of all of the top video/movie site’s embeds into your HeartOfThe.Net blog or site. (It’s already in use on Paul’s Blog.)

The following sites are supported:

We’ve also made sure that the plugin doesn’t compromise any of your previous video embeds too, so why not pop over to your HeartOfThe.Net dashboard, select “Plugins” and activate the “WordPress Video Plugin”. Instructions can be found there too. Easy as pie!

And, for those who wish to add a nice seasonal touch to their blogs and sites, activate the “Snow, Balloons And More” plugin in your HeartOfThe.Net dashboard. Then customise the settings to your needs.

Recently, we have received a number of DMCA Notices regarding content hosted on the HeartOfThe.Net network.

We take DMCA Notices very seriously indeed.

Having reviewed each individual DMCA Notice we have suspended certain usernames and HeartOfThe.Net domains where the user has blatently posted content that both infringes other’s copyright and HeartOfThe.Net’s Content Policy.

These users will be unable to access their HeartOfThe.Net account.

However, if you feel a mistake has been made by our Support Team and your blog/site has been removed or your username blocked incorrectly, please contact the Support Team with your username and HeartOfThe.Net domain name and we will review your site once again.

Please note, we will review your request in relation to our Content Policy but this does not mean we will reinstate your username account or HeartOfThe.Net domain.

Wow! The HeartOfThe.Net network is growing quickly… In just three months, we have 551 sites and 524 users. Some users are even developing multiple sites and blogs on the network.

We have opened a Twitter account for HeartOfThe.Net that will be used “ONLY in emergency situations”, and when the Support Team CANNOT post updates regarding issues with the HeartOfThe.Net network here.

We have added a number of new plugins to the library which enable users to upload favicons to their HeartOfThe.Net blog or site, track visitors using Google Analytics, Feedburner RSS feed redirect, content warning and Restricted To Adults (for adult/mature audienced themed blogs/sites).

We have also added a very important plugin called “HTML Javascript Adder”. This plugin allows users to monetise their blog’s/site’s sidebars with adverts such as Google’s Adsense which are coded using Javascript. (Please note, you must adhere to the ad-provider’s terms of service or your blog/site could be banned from displaying adverts.)

Any use of Javascript is forbidden at WordPress, so this is an important feature for HeartOfThe.Net ie we let you! You can check out an example monetised blog here. The advert appears about half way down the right sidebar.

We will be adding more plugins in the near future, but if you wish to request a specific plugin contact our Support Team who will advise you further.

We’re only one month old and already we have over 100 blogs/sites and users within the HeartOfThe.Net network. Good work everyone!
